Located on the south beach part of the promenade, just beside south pier is the UK’s largest water park!! (thats quote some acclaim!!) The Sandcastle is a Blackpool favourite for both visitors and locals alike, boasting 18 slides, 84 degree water and not forgetting the ever popular wave machine, the Sandcastle is a venue you should visit be in sunshine or rain!

‘I’ve been taking my little lad for the last 3 years and as you now have to book a 3 hour slot, this is the first time we’ve ever gone when there are no queues, loads of available tables to choose from, no queues for the slides and even loads of spare rings to grab for the lazy river. As there is limited capacity, it just makes the day so much better. Loads of room to swim, jump in and all the slides only have a few people queuing for them. First time we went during the week and the second time, we went yesterday, one of the busiest Saturdays in Blackpool for a long time and it was still amazing with no queues for anything. If you want to book, just visit their website and get booking. You can only do 3 hour slots but if you get the locker band with some prepaid money on it for some food, you get an extra 30 mins. There’s also free life vests of all sizes for the kids so don’t worry if you didn’t bring one, just grab one by the side of the pool.Really do recommend going now during the holidays as honesty, as a local, I tend to avoid it during the holidays as it’s so busy, but yesterday was one of the best days we’ve had in there.Plus, don’t forget, locals and think some Preston postcodes get a 50% discount!Enjoy everyone’
